Banks, trust companies, authorities and foreign institutions often ask for a certified true copy instead of the original – of a passport to open an account, of a diploma for a job application, or of corporate records for due diligence.
We arrange the certification by the competent office or a notary and make sure the copy meets the recipient's requirements – including apostille and translation if the copy is going abroad.
What's included
- Clarification of which type of certification the recipient accepts
- Certification by the competent office or a notary
- Apostille or legalisation for use abroad
- Certified translation of the certification statement and the document
- Multiple copies in a single order
Frequently asked questions
Who can certify copies in Liechtenstein?
Certifications are carried out by the competent public offices; for some uses abroad a notarial certification, for example in Switzerland, is customary. We choose the route the recipient accepts.
Do I need to present the original?
Yes, the certifying office must see the original. You can hand it to us in person or send it by registered mail – it is returned together with the copy.
Is a certified copy valid abroad?
Usually only with an apostille or legalisation. We check what the destination country requires.
